We collect information using “cookie” technology. Cookies are small pieces of data that a website stores on your computer or mobile device hard drive so that your computer will “remember” information about your visit. We use both 1st and 3rd-party session cookies and persistent cookies.
Session Cookies: We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our Site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser.
Persistent Cookies: A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time or until you delete them. You can remove persistent cookies by following the directions provided by your specific web browser.
We utilize a log-in portal on our Site, where persistent cookies can be used to store your passwords so that you don’t have to enter it more than once. Persistent cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our visitors to personalize the experience on our Site.
In some cases, we may associate information that you have provided to us (i.e. your email address) with the cookies that we use. This allows us to understand your engagement with other content related to our Site(i.e. email open rates, click-throughs).
If you do not want cookies placed on your hard drive, you may be able to turn that feature off on your computer or mobile device. Please consult your specific browser documentation for information on how to do block and delete cookies. Please note, if you decide not to accept cookies from us, certain aspects of the Site may not function properly or as intended.
Listings and articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, case studies, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We occasionally hire other companies or services providers to perform certain business-related services. We may disclose personal information to certain types of third-party companies but only to the extent needed to enable them to provide such services. The types of companies that may receive personal information and their functions are: hosting services, technical assistance, database management/back-up services, use analytics, email marketing platforms, and customer service.
We will never share Consumer information with Vendors without your permission. If you as a consumer decide to submit an RFP for event-related services, you give us permission to share your contact information with Vendors to respond to your RFP. Vendors may then provide Consumers information about the products and services they offer.
We may also disclose personal information to our parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, joint ventures, or other companies under common control in order to support marketing, sale and delivery of any services.
We will never sell your information to a third-party company.
Please be advised that if you opt-out of any service via the direct analytics site, you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Site.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please send any data inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The servers used by our hosting company are located in the US and elsewhere. Please be aware that your information may be transferred to, processed, maintained, and used on computers, servers, and systems located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your country of origin. If you are located outside of the United States and choose to use the Site, you do so at your own risk.
